Advisor to the Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain on Sunday said that gas was not sufficient for CNG consumers. He said, "We have wasted the cheap gas." Talking to Pakistan Television, he said in the past, no proper attention was paid on planning side to produce energy for the country.

To a question, he said that the demand of gas has been increasing after bringing the prices of the gas products down. To another question he said, "We do not have sufficient gas for the CNG consumers."
